A team from KBS headquarters in Newport Beach, California, hit the Orange County coast last week, but senior director Ginny Walker said it wasn’t your typical day at the beach.
Walker and about 30 other KBS employees spent several hours collecting trash from an Orange County beach with the Orange County Coastkeeper. The KBS team picked up 57 pounds of garbage, Walker said.
“We partnered with the OC Coastkeepers for the third year,” she said in an email.
Last year, 22 KBS employees picked up 46 pounds of trash during its second annual beach cleanup day.
Orange County Coastkeeper is a nonprofit clean water organization whose mission is “to protect swimmable, drinkable, fishable water and promote watershed resilience throughout our region,” according to its website.
