Dean Cederquist Managing Director

Dean Cederquist has worked in all areas of real estate — acquisitions, development, finance and securities investment — during his 30-year career in the industry.  He brings this multifaceted skill set to originating value-added acquisitions for KBS Strategic Opportunity REIT and to structured finance and opportunistic lending for KBS REIT III throughout the U.S.

Mr. Cederquist was one of two founding partners of High Rise Partners, a large REIT hedge fund.  As a director of Credit Suisse First Boston from 1996 to 2000, Mr. Cederquist was responsible for originating and closing over $2 billion of multifaceted real estate loans and joint venture acquisitions and for establishing and managing the credit lease division, one of the most profitable segments of the real estate group.  Prior to working in real estate finance at Credit Suisse, he was the director of real estate investments in charge of acquisitions for Lerner Enterprises, one of the largest full-service development companies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, and he was an associate in acquisitions and development with JBG Associates, one of the largest and most active real estate developers in the Washington, D.C., area.  In addition, Mr. Cederquist founded Texas-based Lonestar Ecology, the first independent, large-scale, RCRA-permitted, fixed-site hazardous waste processing plant developed in the U.S. in the past 30 years, and he is also experienced in brownfield real estate redevelopments.

Mr. Cederquist earned his CPA certificate at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in San Francisco.  He graduated with honors from Harvard Business School.
