Stephanie Ascher, VP of asset management and portfolio operations at KBS, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and growth throughout her 16-year tenure with the firm. Beginning as a receptionist, Ascher’s dedication and versatility propelled her through various roles, including investment analyst, investment associate, and senior investment associate, before reaching her current executive position.
Ascher’s leadership was particularly evident in 2024. She played a key role as the primary point of contact for a publicly traded REIT in Singapore, for which KBS serves as the US-based asset manager. Leading late-night conference calls, Ascher provided steady guidance during a period of economic uncertainty, further demonstrating her value and leadership abilities. This led to a promotion to VP.
Ascher is responsible for developing and executing strategic asset management initiatives, maximizing asset performance and driving long term value. She is also deeply involved in the industry. She graduated from NAIOP SoCal Chapter’s Young Professionals Group leadership program in 2023. Ascher is now involved in YPG as a member of the sponsorship committee and chair of the committee’s case competition for the CapRock Cup. She is also involved in the Orange County Chapter of CREW. Ascher’s commitment to mentorship and advocacy for women in commercial real estate further underscores her influence and leadership qualities.
